I am a Child of God
I knew from the moment we stepped into the church building on the 2nd week of January, that lil'K would be assigned to give her first talk in primary. I was right. When I picked lil' K up from her class that day, her teacher said "Kate She volunteered to give the talk next Sunday!" Wow! She was excited about it for most of the week. She chose the topic of "I am a Child of God." I used the internet and found something. We prepared her talk, made cute pictures to go along, and even practiced it a few times. When Sunday came around, I took lil'K to the primary room, showed her the pulpit and microphone, but to no avail. She would have nothing to do with it, knowing this would happen. When it came time for primary, lil' K would not sit with her class, she sat on my lap in the back of the room with F and lil' L. Soon it was time to give the talk. lil' K started to scream. I picked her up and tried to console and talk to her while I walked up front. She continued to cry as I began her talk for her. She calmed down and listened. I gave her talk for her. She was scared to be in front of the other children, but we handled it, and got through the first of many talks. lil' K is not ashamed of her actions or the fact that I gave her talk for her. F believes they should never start the year with the Sunbeams giving talks any ways. I am just glad that lil' K wanted to participate and volunteer. She is loving primary and is growning up too fast. Wish us better luck next time!!

Home Depot Kids Club, by lil' K
This morning, Dad and I went to one place, not everything. Home Depot. I got a Home Depot apron. I didn't get my High School Musical sweatshirt dirty. Dad and I got a hammer and Dad got a screwdriver. Dad helped me hammer the nails and turn the screws. We made a Castle, not with a princess in it. I put monies in it, and credit cards. My favorite thing was to build the castle with dad. Dad told me what to do. I will paint it later with Mom. That's all I do up at Home Depot.

Here is lil' K and F with the "Castle Bank"

lil' K, her apron, and bank. Cute little builder!

5 Years, 5 months, and 5 days!!
I decided to add a marriage ticker to our blog (as seen at the top). Coincidentally, the day I started this ticker, we had been married for exactly 5 years, 5 months, and 5 days with many more days to come.
