We hope everyone enjoys their Valentine's Day. We have had a great time. Whenever a holiday is tiptoeing around the corner, my mom gathers the grandkids together to fill their tummies with sugar. The kids get to roll out and cut sugar cookies. Between cutting and decorating, the kids take a break by running madly around the house. When the cookies are done and cooled, time to load them up. The kids usually put a pound of frosting on one cookie with as many candies the cookie will hold. This also includes licking the knife, sampling one or all of the candies repeatedly. When all is said and done, we have kids excited about their cookie creations. This particular day, lil' L got into the action. He saw all of the other children with their rolling pins, and went ballistic because he wanted one too. I found him a small one to use and gave him a small bit of cookie dough. He was the happiest little baker around.
